It seems that every tourist who ever comes to Sydney thinks that they simply have to visit Bondi Beach. There’s no doubt that the beach at Bondi is known all over the world and in many ways that’s rather sad because the beach at Bondi is definitely not the most attractive beach Sydney has to offer.
Little if anything ever seems to be said in the tourist brochures about Sydney’s northern beaches and yet they are, without a doubt, some of the most picturesque beaches along the Sydney coastline that are never as crowded as Bondi and just as easy to get to. Those beaches stretch from Manly, just a short ferry ride across Sydney Harbour, right up to Palm Beach in the north.
You can hire a car and take an entire day to cruise up the coast and visit every beach. Most of them are quite accessible from the road and there are plenty of great vantage points if you want some great scenic shots. If you don’t drive there are any number of bus services that can take you along the northern beaches and finding the one that’s right for you.
Of course, if you’re a little more adventurous then the leading Sydney helicopter charter service – Skyward Helicopters – can take you on a scenic flight along the coastline and give you the chance to take some outstanding photographs of the stunning scenery.
So when you come to Sydney don’t follow that worn path that everyone else takes down to Bondi Beach. Instead, do something different and take a trip to the northern beaches and see parts of Sydney that others don’t.
